Na-Ghost ka na ba? (13th Month Ghosted)

Na-ghost ka na ba?

No! This is not about your romantic human relationship! It’s about your relationship with your money!

Ghosting - According to Merriam-Webster, it is a phenomenon of leaving a relationship of some kind by abruptly ending all contact with the other person

Nagparamdam lang siya saglit pero iniwan kang bigla! Nawala na parang bula! Iniwan ka kahit na sobra mong pinaghirapan? Hard worker, always on over time, and do whatever it takes para ma fulfill ang dreams for your family?

Here are some of the signs or indications na gino-ghost ka ng pera mo:

Ghosting hurts because it leaves the Ghostee wondering, hanging, not knowing what has happened and why the relationship (with the money) is suddenly over.

You invested your time and effort and yet, pagkasahod mo, naglaho na pala sya. You looked back and accounted how much you already earned, but it seems you are just running in circles.

Yes, it really hurts. But we have to do something to end the cycle. What should we do?

Here are the tips!

1. Create a strong foundation. Just like any relationship, a bond that is built with a sturdy foundation won’t be shaken easily. Use your 13th month to create a strong emergency fund! Click here for the steps in how to build your emergency fund

2. Acceptance. Accept who you are and what your lifestyle is today and use it to measure your progress in building your relationship with your money.

3. Forgive but never forget. Yes, you've been ghosted before. But make sure that you learn from it. Forgive yourself and let go of your past habits.

4. Don’t invest too much on uncertain things! Unless there's no label, don’t invest too much of yourself sa walang kasiguraduhan PA. “What should I do with my bonus?" Even if there's an announcement already, unless you see it in your bank account, don't plan anything yet! Planning ahead is great! But thinking of how you’ll spend the money you don’t have yet is a bad habit!

5. Don’t give your all, keep a little for yourself. In relation to #4, magtira ka para sa sarili mo. Para pag na-ghost ka ulit, may pang self-love ka pa.

6. Focus on self-healing. If marupok ka mag-isa, iwas ka na rin sa iba pang marurupok na tao. Start building the right habits. Invest in yourself to learn how to properly manage your personal finance. Seek help. Seek advice with financial experts. Click here to register and know more about my free one-on-one coaching.

7. Be Strong! There are temptations everywhere. But the day you start to be conscious is the day that you start growing. And that’s a good start!

8. Always review your WHYs. Why do you want to achieve your goals? Why do you want to earn money? Is it for your family? To support them no matter what happens?
