How was your New Year's Resolution Going?

Did you know that 92% of people fail to achieve their New Year's resolutions? But what if I told you that you can defy the odds and become part of the 8%?

It's already almost the end of the 1st quarter of 2024. How are your goals progressing?

Some of you might be on track, or even doing better! But for those who aren't doing as they have planned, I'll share with you a step-by-step process that can help you get on track again!

  1. What are your goals? Are your goals clear enough? I once told myself "Gusto kong pumayat and maging healthy". But losing 1 lb means I already achieved this goal, tama? So define as detailed as possible your goals. Write them.

  2. Review your WHY Why do you want to achieve those goals? What difference would it make if you achieved them? Are these reasons really important to you? If hindi ito important sayo, you'll find reasons NOT TO DO THEM. So why bother?

  3. Develop an ACTION PLAN Break down your goals into smaller, manageable tasks. Create a timeline and prioritize actions based on importance and urgency. I highly suggest that you prioritize your GOALS first. Rank them and just focus one at a time. Kasi if high energy ka sa lahat ng goals mo, ma bburn out ka.

  4. Create a TRACKER If your goal is related to savings, you may use my Life Engineer Savings Tracker which is FREE! This can really help you track your savings goals with any device or gadget as I made it thru Google Sheets. It's posted on my home page For other goals, I'm still using Google Sheets or Google Docs as I can access them anywhere with any gadget.

  5. Accept that you are not perfect. Be kind to yourself during setbacks and challenges. Understand that growth takes time and effort, and it's okay to make mistakes along the way.

  6. Continuous Improvement Accepting that you are not perfect is not enough. You have to accept also that you have to learn things continuously so you can support your goals! Be always open for feedback to help you grow faster.

  7. Find an Accountability Buddy Having positive support while you are going through challenges is a big help! Having at least 1 person who you can share your goals with and how you are doing would be a big help already! Find mentors as well and they can help you with tips and strategies with different challenges that they have encountered already.

  8. Monitor your Progress Regularly assess your development against your goals. Adjust your strategies as needed and celebrate milestones along the way.

  9. Be Grateful Always always find time to be grateful for things no matter how big or small. As the saying goes:

It's not easy to achieve GOALS. If it is, then everyone has been achieving theirs already and there would be no "SANA ALL".

If you're looking for a positive accountability buddy, join our FB Group, Life Engineers Community! Share your journey towards your goals and use it as your safe space for your thoughts!
